Hi, I'm Sarah! I study the Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne, with interests in biomedical / environmental engineering, pharmacology, and medicine. I'm from New Zealand and Malaysia, and have moved countries several times, making me a proud bilingual and third culture kid!
Despite being a science student, I enjoy learning languages, videography, reading, music and sport as hobbies. I've played piano since young and achieved distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 piano, which led me to explore symphonic & jazz bands on the trumpet, acapella groups, and classical singing. I represented my school in football / soccer, touch rugby, and athletics.
In May 2022, I received the IB diploma (score of 42) with an additional course (score of 7 in SL physics). Taking IB during strict covid restrictions was difficult, with classes online and subjects undergoing significant changes. Having experienced various challenges and the rigorous program that is the IB, I have lots of wisdom to offer when it comes to efficient studying, exam preparation and much more!
IB can be stressful, so it's important to provide an encouraging environment where learning is enjoyable. I believe in cultivating curiosity - I hope to share my inquisitiveness and love for learning with students so they succeed in their own unique ways.
