Hey there! I’m Ruby. I love playing the drums, going to the gym and playing with my cat in my spare time. I also adore fashion, along with binge watching Grey’s Anatomy.

I completed Year 12 during the 2020 pandemic, and learned a lot of strategies along the way that helped me ace my studies while also enjoying myself. Health & Human Development (HHD) was by far my favourite subject, mainly because of the fascinating content that it includes. Also, I was driven to succeed in HHD by constantly learning new techniques and skills that made the subject more and more riveting (I know it sounds weird, but trust me it can be fun).

I thoroughly enjoyed helping my HHD peers during Year 12, and was always the one who provided assistance when my teacher was busy with another student. Doing this helped me realise how much I love tutoring others, and helping them learn all of the tips and tricks needed to answer questions succinctly and efficiently. This is a crucial skill to learn in content-heavy subjects like HHD.

As your tutor, I can guarantee to help you navigate your way through HHD, and study in the most effective way possible. This will help you maximise your marks, and distinguish yourself from other students. I also like to assist my students with their academic weaknesses and help them gain confidence (which is a necessity for success in Year 12).

My main goal is for you to feel 100% confident when sitting any SAC or exam. It’s truly a great feeling walking out of an assessment knowing you aced it! Together, we can discover the best ways to help you excel in Health & Human Development.

Ruby graduated from Parkdale Secondary College in 2020, achieving the school-best VCE study scores in Health & Human Development and French, and receiving an Academic Excellence Award. During her time at Parkdale she found her passion for teaching, helping her peers in Health & Human Development understand complex concepts and approach tricky questions. Ruby plans to study a double degree in Law and Global Studies at Monash University during 2021, eventually looking towards a career in politics.
