Hi! My name is Naura, and I am an Indonesian international student at the University of Melbourne studying in the Bachelor of Biomedicine program, with a personal interest in clinical and cellular biology. I completed the IB Diploma Program on 2019, and received an overall mark of 41 out of 45, with 7 out of 7 scores for Biology, Chemistry and Indonesian.

I have been tutoring at IB and university levels for a year, specifically for Biology, Chemistry and Indonesian subjects. As a tutor, I believe that an understanding-based approach combined with practical, exam-related skills is the most beneficial method for students to achieve high marks in assessments while simultaneously instill good foundation for their future pathways. I also focus on ensuring that what the students need and want out of the tutoring sessions are satisfied.

To improve understanding, it is crucial to know how theoretical knowledge can be applied in real life. I like to bring the real-life applications knowledge I have obtained in university into the session to evoke curiosity and interest in students.

Outside of studying, I have a wide array of hobbies, such as: dancing, cooking, baking, K-Pop, calligraphy, fashion and anything that is on social media. I also like to be involved in my community and assume leadership roles at my university to balance out my science-oriented studies.
