Hey, I’m Milla. When I’m not following my dogs around with a camera, I spend my time reading, baking, travelling, hiking and watching period dramas. There’s nothing that I love more than an afternoon spent on a couch in the sun with a novel and a cup of tea. I’ve always loved language, its history and rules as well as its evolving and versatile uses.I usually enjoy it through literature and how it allows us to communicate experiences and emotions across cultures and times. After graduating high school in 2018, I accepted a scholarship to study Mandarin at university in Beijing for a year. In VCE, half of the workload is understanding the content and the other half is knowing how to represent it confidently and succinctly through essays and exams. Everybody has a different approach to learning, and embracing your own approach is what allows you to excel. As a tutor, I’m easy going and flexible, and will help you build skills and strategies. I’ll ensure that there’s always a resource invested in you to help you succeed.

Milla graduated from Melbourne Girls’ College in 2018 with an impressive array of awards, including the Catherine Helen Spence Award and the Libstowel Award for Short Fiction. Additionally, she was awarded a scholarship which allowed her to study at Renmin University of China in 2019. She is now pursuing a degree in Asian Studies at the Australian National University, and hopes to work with China-Australia relations in the future. In her spare time, Milla enjoys reading, live music, and hiking.
