Hi! My name is Maaz, and I’m really excited to get to know you and help you in your year 12. I graduated in 2021 from Suzanne Cory High School having taken English, Legal Studies, Further Maths, Math Methods, Chemistry, and Biology. In 2022 I hope to commence a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University, with the long-term goal being (fingers crossed) postgraduate entry into some sort of Allied Health course.

Outside of tutoring and my studies, I really enjoy going out with friends, listening to music, watching TV shows, and reading - I’m currently bashing through Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series.

In my year 12, I experienced first-hand how it isn’t always the smartest and hardest working people that get the highest marks, but that studying efficiently and effectively for your specific subject is extremely important. Therefore, our lessons will always prioritise understanding over mindless (and useless) memorisation. I hope to achieve this by minimising jargon, prioritising seeing connections between concepts, and devising as many clear-cut analogies and scenarios as I have to convey the logic behind a certain concept or procedure. From there, we’re going to bash through, and learn from, actual VCE exam questions in every lesson, meaning that come exam day you’ll be extremely comfortable at manipulating and using the various procedures and concepts necessary for success.
