Hi, I'm Lise, I am a French native speaker who grew up in the South West of France but has been living in English speaking countries -Canada, UK and Australia- since 1988. I am therefore fluently bilingual in English and French. I have a BA and MA in English, and a MA and a PhD in the Social Sciences. I have been tutoring French and English for over 30 years and have also taught French at secondary school university and language schools, and have taught ESL at language schools. I have also had extensive experience of lecturing a wide range of subjects in the Social Sciences and teaching mindfulness. I am currently facilitating workshops in Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Intelligence and Diversity for a business school in addition to tutoring.

I have been living in Melbourne and Australia for 19 years during which I have privately tutored children aged 4 to 18 years old and adults of all ages, from complete beginners to advanced, both face-to-face and online. I offer tailor made courses to adults and children, both individuals and small groups (up to 5 people), structured to suit your needs, requirements and interests. I have extensive experience of tutoring VCE students with a high success rate as 80% of my students have obtained a score of 44 and over in French at the VCE exam. I am passionate about teaching and use a variety of interactive methods in a friendly, fun and encouraging environment so you can achieve your goals in the subject.

When I am not teaching, I love travelling and being in nature, I am into mindfulness and meditation, I sing, write songs and play the piano and am in the process of finishing an autobiographical novel! I also have an advanced level of Spanish!
