Hello! I’m Khusi. I’m a student at the University of Melbourne studying ‘Linguistics’ and “English & Theatre Studies’ as a double major in the Bachelor of Arts. I graduated from Discovery College in Hong Kong, in 2020, under the IB curriculum. I took HL English Language & Literature, Psychology, and Theatre, and SL Chinese B, Maths, and Sports Science.

In my spare time, I like to read, write stories, and am an avid anime-watcher. When the weather is the right temperature of warm with a slight cool breeze, I love going on walks and exploring my surroundings while listening to all sorts of music.

I wish to pursue a career in teaching secondary students, and therefore, have a genuine desire to teach students and aid in their school development. I’ve always enjoyed recognising the value and power of words placed in poems, books, and visual media, therefore English has been a subject of much interest to me. I like to encourage student agency, and develop an interesting, and enjoyable understanding of the IB English syllabus and the content we come across. I believe there is a teaching method suitable for optimal results for each student, and I aim to discover it and guide my students in whatever way they seek.

Tutoring sessions will be conducted weekly, in private sessions if agreed with, with consistent communication regarding next lesson discussion. My preferred locations of tutoring involve online tutoring, the University of Melbourne, the State Library, or around North Melbourne.
