Hi, I’m Jonathan! I finished year 12 at Haileybury College in 2019, and this year I am studying Law and Global Studies at Monash Uni.

My time at school was made busy and colourful by a range of music, sport and academic activities. While I spent a lot of my days hitting the books for my seven VCE subjects, I was keen on balancing my academic goals with a variety of musical and theatrical performances, debates, sporting competitions and social justice activities. I attribute a large part of my schooling results to this wide variety of interests and skills across the board. I understand what it’s like to be a high school student short on time and sleep, and I can help you with skills to manage your studies through the frantic and fun times.

Thanks to the in depth teaching I received at school, and countless hours poring over study designs, past papers and supplementary materials, I can offer you valuable advice on the structure of exams; the best techniques to manage time and stress; and how to present content and knowledge in a targeted, unique and concise way to differentiate your work and impress examiners.

My passion for reading and writing has given me the ability to convey meaning and sophistication through written language, which are vital skills in English, Extended Investigation and History. Understanding key concepts and presenting them in new and interesting ways has given me an edge over other students throughout my time at school, and it is my aim to pass on these skills to the students I tutor.

Jonathan graduated from Haileybury College with perfect scores in English and Australian History. An academic with diverse interests, Jonathan enjoys sailing, opera performance, mooting, hiking and debating in his spare time. Recently, Jonathon published an article in the prestigious British Medical Journal under the guidance of distinguished Oxford ethics professor, Julian Savulescu. He hopes to build on these interests as he pursues a career in international human rights law.
