Hi! My name is Joeii! I have been a full time teacher for four years. I have tutored for seven years both privately and commercially. Outside of my occupation, I enjoy kickboxing at the local club, binge watching TV shows, and playing the saxophone as I find that quite therapeutic. You will always find me immersed in nature; chasing waterfalls, or finding high waves to surf.

My teaching style can best be described as interactive, supportive, and transparent. I encourage my students to have a voice in the sessions, ask questions, offer textual interpretations that are beyond the expected, and participate actively in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. My lessons differentiate for each junior learner. They centralise on grammatical skills, reading comprehension, and active essay writing on various prompts to instil strong written and oral literacy skills within the student. My pedagogical approach for VCE focuses more on fostering critical thinking to unpack core themes and key ideologies that literary authors centralise their texts on.
