Hey there! My name’s Jasman. In 2018, I graduated from Glen Waverley Secondary College. In my spare time you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking up a storm or listening to a podcast. If I’m feeling adventurous probably both together! 

Even though it’s a common saying that “Year 12 is a tough time”, I never felt that way. Instead it was one of the best years of my life. Year 12 is undeniably an important year academically but I was able to be a part of school leadership, debate at state level, work a job, spend time with my friends outside of school and still manage to slip in a nap some days during that year. All of this was possible because of the strategies that I had in place.

As a tutor, I have experience teaching a range of subjects for the past few years. This allows me to tailor my lessons according to the student’s needs because each student has their own way of learning. Coming from a school with past examiners and paper-setters as teachers, I was able to really understand the ins and outs of each subject. My own scores reflect this as well as the scores of the students that I have taught in the past. I like to teach my students in a way that makes the content more relatable to the real world, especially for subjects like chemistry and methods which are often taught in a very dull manner. 

For students interested in Medicine, I also tutor the UCAT and ISAT. Almost all of my past students scored over the 80th percentile, with around 70% scoring 90+ in the two exams. I have come up with a good system that helps you crush the exam! I like to teach my students skills and ways of thinking which help them tackle any question they are faced. A special for my ISAT students is that I have personally authored a practice exam for the ISAT! 

Jasman graduated from Glen Waverley Secondary College in 2018 and is currently studying the Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Monash University. Jasman’s natural ability as a critical thinker and diligence as a teacher have proved valuable to his countless past students. His teaching style is focussed on helping students gain an intuitive understanding of complex concepts. This has proved particularly useful with medical admissions testing, where he has even written his own ISAT exam.
