Hi! I’m Conroy and I’m looking forward to being your next IB geography tutor! Having lived in both Hong Kong and Melbourne, I find cities and urban environments to be fascinating places. That’s why I like to take my bike out and visit new places around Melbourne, and grab a good cup of coffee while I’m at it!

Studying IB HL geography between 2017 and 2019 in Hong Kong, I ended up achieving a level 7, but also developed a passion for what I study. And so, I decided to move to Melbourne and become an urban planner, hoping to make this city become a more adaptive and resilient place within a changing world. I successfully completed my Bachelors of Art degree at the University of Melbourne in 2022, having majored in both geography and political science, and I’m now pursuing a masters degree in urban planning.

I do a lot of illustration and character animation outside of my studies. Of course, drawing helps me express myself, but I also use it to explain abstract concepts as well. Often, diagrams, maps and illustrations help me visualise ideas that I have a hard time understanding, and I look forward to bringing learning strategies such as this into our tutoring journey!
