Hi! I’m Angel and I’ve just graduated from Melbourne Girls Grammar School. I’m entering uni soon and planning to study Computing and Software Systems at the University of Melbourne. Outside of school, I usually spend my time exploring the world of programming, or cooking… and adventuring with some new ingredients. I also play a range of sports like swimming and Taekwon-do, which I’ve done for many years. I was actually granted 1st DAN of Black Belt in 2014!

I’ve always been extremely passionate in mathematics. Last year (2020), I achieved a perfect study score of 50 in VCE Mathematical Methods U3&4. This year, I’ve studied Specialist Maths and participated in the University of Melbourne Extension Program in Mathematics (UMEP). I’m certainly extending my maths journey beyond high school. Indeed, I wish to utilise my maths and computing skills to create my own apps and business in the future.

With maths, I often encourage students to think in a flexible and unrestrained way. I aim to steer them to explore the world beyond the formulae and theories, in order to cultivate genuine passion for maths. I’d also like to personalize my teaching, that is, either privately or in groups of 2-3. Notes and worksheets on each topic will be provided in class. I can help with the use of CAS technology as well, whether it’s the Ti-Nspire calculator or Mathematica. My preferred locations of tutoring would be at the unimelb library at Parkville, the State library or online.
