Further Maths | Biology

Hi! I’m Alice and I am the biggest lover of plants that you may ever meet.

I’ve been tutoring for the past couple of years in Biology and Maths, and through tutoring I’ve found my love of teaching, which I’m now looking at as a potential career path. Thus, my students have helped me as much as I’ve helped them, in finding my passion and putting my knowledge to good use!

Uni was where my love of plant biology blossomed, and that’s what I love doing now. From the smallest molecular processes, up to the broadest processes of evolution, biological systems are what I’m fascinated by, and I love teaching them. Hopefully I can not only help you to do well in biology, but also try to inspire some of that same interest in you.

I love puzzles and logic problems, which is probably why I still love maths. Every problem has a solution, you just need to know how to find it. I get great joy from working out puzzles, which is really what maths can be.

I hope to teach you not just to know every single dot point of information, but to be able to give you that confidence to read a question and truly understand what it is asking of you, and how you’re going to work it out. I’ve worked with students at all different levels of understanding, and helped them to do the best that they can. I’ve been through it, and I’ve developed a whole lot of tips and tricks that helped me to get through VCE without falling apart, so I can help you get through it too.

Alice graduated from Melbourne Girls’ College in 2017 as Dux of Further Maths. She is now completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, and hopes in the future to become a teacher in order to give back to the community that nurtured her passion. In her spare time, Alice is an avid cyclist, performer and environmentalist.
